Matteo Bisiani was an Italian archer and was one of the leading members of the Italian squad throughout most of the 1990s. He won a team bronze medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics alongside Michele Frangilli and Andrea Parenti. Bisiani improved to a silver medal at Sydney four years later, this time with Frangilli and Ilario Di Buò.
Between 1995-2000 Bisiani won nine Italian indoor and outdoor individual and team titles. During that time, he also won a gold medal at the 1999 World Championships. He also won silvers in 1995 and 2001. In addition, he won a silver and two bronze medals at the World Indoor Championships, a silver at the European Championships and two gold medals, and three silvers, at the Indoor Europeans. Bisiani also won a silver medal at the 1997 Mediterranean Games on home soil at Bari. He received in 1999 the Gold Collar for Sporting Merit from the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
