Biography

Roger Theisen was a celebrated fencer from Luxembourg who became both a Benelux and Military World Champion. Theisen was proficient in the foil, épée, and sabre, with him competing in all three disciplines across two editions of the Olympics. At the 1956 Melbourne Games he competed in the team épée and the individual sabre, but was eliminated in the first round in each. Four years later Theisen competed in the foil and épée disciplines at the 1960 Roma Olympics. In the team events he finished fifth in the épée and ninth in the foil, but failed to advance from the first round in the individual épée.
