Biography

Merritt Giffin of the Chicago AA was leading the 1908 discus throw until Martin Sheridan moved into the lead on his final throw. Giffin won the AAU discus title in 1910. He died fairly young at the age of 23 years in 1911 for unknown reasons.

Personal Best: DT – 42.06 (1908).
