Cetaphil SkinLabs Derm on Tour brings dermatologist care closer to Filipinos at SM MOA
MANILA, Philippines — When was the last time you talked to a dermatologist?
About 60% of women and 40% of men experience sensitive skin, yet many underestimate this skin condition and don’t consider seeing a dermatologist a priority.
To bridge this gap, Cetaphil brought its SkinLabs: Derm on Tour to the Central Atrium of SM Mall of Asia (MOA) from March 13 to 15, transforming the mall into an interactive skincare destination where actual dermatologists gave practical skincare guidance.
The activation’s main message was that sensitive skin deserves expert attention—not just in severe cases, but as part of everyday life.
SkinLabs Derm on Tour aims to turn science-backed skincare into routines that fit different ages and lifestyles—from teen students and young professionals to parents managing their children’s skin needs.
Free consultation + firsthand discovery
SM MOA’s Central Atrium turned into a series of immersive stations, each designed to bring dermatological care closer to the public.
The Derm Consultation Area gave visitors an opportunity to speak directly with board-certified dermatologists, where they received personalized advice tailored to their skin type, concerns and daily routines.
The venue also featured interactive zones where guests learned more about Cetaphil’s science and product range.
This included the Cetaphil Cleansers and Moisturizers station, which highlighted key ingredients and formulations through a larger-than-life product display, as well as dedicated areas such as the Bright Healthy Radiance line, Cetaphil Baby range, and an area to spotlight their newest innovations—the Soothing and Comforting CICA line, together with the Advance Defense Serum and Repair and Renew Serum.
Guests also took part in product demonstrations, bottle swap and trade-in activities, games and photobooth moments, alongside calming activities designed to reflect the brand’s gentle approach to skincare.
Skincare routines at celebrity homes
The event brought together a diverse set of Cetaphil ambassadors, including celebrity parents, who shared how skincare plays a role in their everyday routines at home.
Jess Wilson closely tied the brand’s baby line to personal memories.
“I love the Cetaphil Gentle Baby, the body wash and shampoo. I just love the smell. It reminds me of the early days when my daughter was born and now with my baby. I associate the smell of all Cetaphil baby products with the early baby days of my being a first-time mom. The memories attached are also very sweet,” she said.
Nico Bolzico, meanwhile, emphasized the importance of gentle, worry-free products when caring for children.
“I have two favorite Cetaphil products,” he said.
“One is the baby wash and shampoo. You’ll have no worries, like it can go into the eyes, and it's fine. That makes my life easier. Then, there is the Cetaphil Baby with Calendula. After showering, we have a spa session. It's really enjoyable to do that every night, and now it has become our routine that we keep doing.”
He added that it’s actually his own “skincare routine” because the children apply it on him, and that's the only cream that gets applied to his face.
“I'm 42, so it might be working for me, too,” he laughed.
Fellow mom Andi Manzano shared how products designed for sensitive skin have become essential in their household.
“I think mine would also be the shampoo and the body wash because my kids are at the stage where I could just leave them in the shower and they'll just bathe themselves. It’s been so easy, and maybe that's their favorite product—the shampoo and the body wash together.”
“But my favorite, what I love and what I also use for myself, is the advanced protection cream. Usually we do the lotion, but for extra protection—because my kids have eczema and allergies—that’s what we use for all the extra sensitive areas, and it has worked so much. Even for me, it’s worked for me also.”
Also sharing her experience was Laura Lehmann, who highlighted how gentle formulations helped address unexpected skin concerns.
“I like the wash and shampoo, too, that’s 2-in-1. My baby was born with a lot of hair, and I was glad that there's a shampoo. I do like the smell so much. I actually gave it to my husband for him to use. I also like the soothing cream. A few days after my baby was born, she had baby acne and eczema. The cream really helped calm down her skin and the redness.”
Simple routines that stick
For younger Cetaphil ambassadors, the focus was on consistency and simplicity.
“My secret is sleep. I think that's the number one best thing,” shared Donny Pangilinan. “Then, of course, Cetaphil. Start with the cleanser. Kasi minsan hindi natin alam may mga hidden dirt pala. Then you could add your moisturizer.”
His sister, Hannah Pangilinan, emphasized adjusting routines based on the time of day.
“In the morning, honestly, it’s just sunscreen. Then at night, it's definitely cleansing my skin and moisturizing because I have sensitive and dry skin, so I always moisturize.”
For Atasha Muhlach, keeping things simple makes it easier to stay consistent.
“My skincare routine is preferably something that's very simple and straight to the point. That way, you can be more consistent with your actual skincare, and you can actually see the results over time,” she shared, adding that her go-to Cetaphil products are the Gentle Exfoliating Salicylic Acid Cleanser and Lotion.
Routines for sensitive skin
Actresses Kaila Estrada and Cassy Legaspi shared how structured routines help maximize results, especially for those with dull and uneven sensitive skin.
“I use the Bright Healthy Radiance line, so I don't use other products or mix it up anymore. I prefer to just use products from that line so I also get the full effect. At night, I start with the cleanser, then I do the toner, serum, and then the night cream,” Estrada said.
“I also use the Bright Healthy Radiance set as well. For AM, cleanser, of course, and then I go to the toner. If my skin is extra dry in the morning, that's when I use the serum, and then straight to sunscreen—it’s very important. Then sa gabi, I always go all out: cleanser, toner, serum and then the PM cream, complete,” Legaspi added.
Simplifying skincare through science
For Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Cetaphil’s approach lies in simplifying routines without losing the science behind them.
“People should try out the brand-new Cetaphil AM and PM serums. They simplify what Cetaphil's skincare is known for, which is rooted in science but catering to sensitive skin. It takes out the guesswork of what you need to put into your routine, and I've been using that since the brand’s global campaign in August 2025. I've been able to use the serum for a while, and I can truly say that in using it and loving it, I'm really excited for people to try it out.”
Multimedia superstar Anne Curtis, who is also a long-time Cetaphil ambassador, shared the stage with Gray.
Asked what “gentle” meant to her, she said, “It has to be safe, balanced, and trusted,” like the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.
“Every morning when you’re out, you wear sunscreen, moisturizer, and then your makeup. But most importantly, once you get home, you have to remove all of that makeup.”
Through dermatologist consultations, interactive learning spaces, and real-life routines shared by its ambassadors, the Cetaphil SkinLabs: Derm on Tour’s key message is that caring for sensitive skin doesn’t have to wait until it becomes a serious concern.
By meeting Filipinos in everyday spaces like the mall, Cetaphil continues to bring skincare science closer to the communities it serves.
