Nokia Announces Its Three Nokia X Android Devices
It shouldn't come as much of a surprise given the plentiful leaks in the mobile space, but Nokia today announced three mobile devices running Google's Android operating system rather than Windows Phone or MeeGo/Harmattan or Asha.
Announced at Mobile World Congress today were the Nokia X, Nokia X+, and Nokia XL mobile phones that run Google's Android. The specifications of the hardware aren't great with sub-1GB RAM capacities, dual 1GHZ processors, and 800x480 display. These Android phones run a customized user-interface that make the Android experience look more like Windows Phone and earlier Nokia devices
These Nokia Android devices won't be shipping in the United States, but fortunately it doesn't look like we will be missing out much over here... The specs of the hardware are low, initial feedback from those at MWC about these Nokia X phones are rather negative, and Microsoft will likely kill off the products once their Nokia acquisition is complete.
