Out of around 200 benchmarks carried out on the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D with the 3D V-Cache Optimizer driver testing, switching over to the cache mode increased the performance overall by about 2%... But the geo mean doesn't mean too much in this case but more impactful is the difference in affected workloads. Here's the side-by-side for the frequency vs. cache difference for the AMD 3D V-Cache Optimzier with the Ryzen 9 9900X3D on Ubuntu 25.04 beta for the performance tests with a measurable difference:
