Linux Provides Better Performance With The AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Over Windows 11
The benchmarking started out uneventful with no real surprises and just the usual fashion of Linux coming out slightly ahead of Windows 11 on the same hardware.
But when reaching the rendering workloads was the first area where a clear difference emerged: the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 enjoying larger uplift under Ubuntu Linux than with Microsoft Windows 11 relative to the difference on the Ryzen 9 9950X3D.
Linux on the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 was providing greater uplift than Microsoft Windows 11 with these heavy workloads.
This carried over into other creator workloads as well of the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 seeing greater uplift on Linux over Windows 11, relative to the Ryzen 9 9950X3D baseline.
