Even for "simple" SOHO LAMP-type Linux server workloads there was a strong advantage to the AMD EPYC 4005 series processors. With the popular Memcached memory caching system, the EPYC 4345P was running at 1.47x the performance of the Xeon 6369P and at 1.66x the performance-per-Watt and 2.69x the performance-per-dollar of the Xeon 6369P.

Similarly, the EPYC 4345P came out better on performance, energy efficiency, and value than the Xeon 6369P. This was also one of the areas where the EPYC 4344P to 4345P uplift changed the tables from favoring the Intel Xeon CPU.

The raw performance in the ClickHouse database server was competitive between the 8-core Xeon and EPYC CPUs but with the EPYC 4345P exhibiting stronger value and energy efficiency.
