For workloads not able to make adequate use out of the large L3 cache via AMD 3D V-Cache, there isn't much of a difference compared to the EPYC 7763 processor performance.
For some workloads not making use of the larger cache but threaded, there is the possibility of a slight hit due to the lower base clock frequency against the EPYC 7763.
The ACES MT-DGEMM HPC benchmark enjoyed considerable uplift with the EPYC 7773X series where even the EPYC 7773X 1P performance surpassed the Xeon Platinum 8380 2P configuration.
Intel's OSPRay was another Intel open-source workload enjoying the very large cache.
