AMD EPYC 8635P "Sorano" Benchmarks: Significant Upgrade Opportunity For EPYC 8004 Servers

For those considering an EPYC 8005 server (or upgrading from EPYC 8004 in existing servers) for CI/CD build farms or similar environments of frequently compiling code, the EPYC 8635P was providing significant time savings over the prior top-end EPYC 8534P processor. Not only were the builds faster with this flagship EPYC 8005 series processor but the performance-per-Watt typically came out ahead as well.

More cores, more cache, and higher clock speeds with this new CPU all play out nicely for delivering a heavy-hitting upgrade over the EPYC 8004 series for CI/CD build systems, software development boxes, and similar.
