Genoa was performing well in the other AVX-512-optimized Intel software components that are part of their oneAPI collection.

The OSPRay ray-tracing engine had some wins with the Xeon Platinum 8380/8662 processors over Milan/Milan-X, but that is no longer the case with Genoa. With OSPRay being well optimized by Intel for AVX-512 use on their Xeon CPUs, it performs equally well with AMD's new AVX-512 server processors.

For CPU-based rendering workloads, the Genoa results were terrific especially in cases like a single EPYC 9654 able to outperform a 2P EPYC 7773X or 2P 7763 configurations.
