Across a wide range of workloads the AMD EPYC 9655 was demonstrating seriously impressive generational uplift over the EPYC 9654. It's all the more impressive especially as evaluating TCO when considering that Turin retains socket compatibility with existing Genoa server motherboards.

For AI workloads the AMD EPYC 9655 was delivering very significant wins over the EPYC 9654. With OpenVINO is one of the select workloads where AMX really pays off on modern Intel Xeon Scalable servers.
