AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE Linux Performance

Rather surprisingly and a sign of how far the Mesa RADV driver's ray-tracing support has matured, the Radeon RX 9070 GRE was even matching the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti performance with GravityMark's Vulkan ray-tracing benchmark. Awesome seeing this achieved with the RADV RT support for years having lagged behind NVIDIA.

But on a performance-per-Watt basis, all of the NVIDIA Blackwell graphics cards were well ahead of the AMD RDNA4 (and RDNA3) parts.

With GravityMark's non-ray-traced Vulkan benchmark, the Radeon RX 9070 GRE was slightly faster than the RTX 5060 Ti competition.

When pushing the graphics cards harder with 4K ray-tracing, the RX 9070 GRE fell slightly behind the RTX 5060 Ti.

With GPUScore: Breaking Limit, the RX 9070 GRE with ray-tracing was faster than the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. But the NVIDIA RTX 50 Blackwell graphics cards continued delivering superior power efficiency over AMD RDNA4.
