The Radeon RX 9070 GRE as mentioned was working fine with ROCm/HIP support, including for the likes of Blender 5.1. The RX 9070 GRE performance continued performing similar to the RX 7800 XT.
For the FluidX3D OpenCL-accelerated computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software atop ROCm, the RX 9070 GRE was delivering similar performance to the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti.
For the OpenCL-accelerated GpuOwl, the Radeon RX 9070 GRE managed to come out faster than the higher-end GeForce RTX 5070 with the AMD graphics cards on ROCm performing particularly well in this workload.

The Hashcat benchmark results were mixed but typically the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti was the stronger graphics card of the two for this OpenCL-accelerated password recovery program.
