Even with the GPUScore: Breaking Limit benchmark using Vulkan ray-tracing, the Radeon RX 9070 series performance was behind that of the Radeon RX 7900 XT. NVIDIA continues to provide much faster Vulkan ray-tracing performance than the Radeon GPUs with the Mesa RADV driver.
Even running Breaking Limit with ray-tracing disabled still had the RX 7900 XT tieing with the RX 9700 XT.
Quake II RTX also had the Radeon RX 7900 series outperforming the RX 9070 series with Vulkan ray-tracing.
