With around a 4 Watt increase during browser benchmarks compared to the Ryzen 7 7840U, the Ryzen 7 7840HS was delivering slightly better performance while further widening the lead over the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H laptop.

In workloads like WireGuard, the Ryzen 7 7840HS was faster now than the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H while pulling slightly less power.

In the QuantLib quantitative finance software, the Ryzen 7 7840HS continued to have a leg-up over the Meteor Lake laptop while consuming less power under Linux.

The AMD Ryzen 7 7840U has been quite a respectable laptop processor in testing it for a number of months now in multiple models. But if craving a bit more performance for engaging in heavier tasks from your laptop, the Ryzen 7 7840HS was helping deliver better performance and at least in the TUXEDO Pulse 14 Gen 3 only meant slightly higher SoC power consumption.
