For some workloads like the OpenFOAM CFD, the AMD 3D V-Cache parts maintain an upper-hand and will be interesting to see how the Ryzen 9000 series X3D parts perform in the months ahead.
For those running HPC workloads on their desktop either during development/testing or working from budget hardware, the Ryzen 9 9900 series performance was great in workloads like Altair's OpenRadioss.
In some of the HPC workloads the gains with the Ryzen 9 9900 series were jaw-dropping thanks to the full 512-bit datapath for AVX-512.
The Ryzen 9 9900X/9950X results were great in workloads like NAMD and GROMACS, leaving me very excited for AMD EPYC Turin server processors.
