AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 Benchmarks: The Fantastic Power Efficiency Of Zen 5
For 7-Zip compression the Ryzen AI 9 365 was at 95% the performance of the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and outperforming the Ryzen 7 7840HS.
The Ryzen AI 9 365 for 3D modeling work with Blender was delivering performance just behind the Ryzen 7 7840U and faster than the Meteor Lake SoC tested while the Ryzen AI 9 365 was consuming 21.8 Watts on average compared to the Ryzen 7 7840U consuming 32 Watts along with the Intel Core Ultra SoC.
The Ryzen AI 300 series is very interesting for power efficiency and while in some cases the raw performance was similar to prior Zen 4 parts, it will be interesting to see the performance out of Strix Point laptops with a higher configurable TDP setting.
I was impressed with the large leap in performance per Watt of the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 in prior days while the Ryzen AI 9 365 manages to raise the bar even higher... For V-RAY it's a 62% leap in performance per Watt over the Ryzen 7 7840U.
The Ryzen AI 9 365 was leading in the best performance per Watt for nearly all of the creator workloads tested with the only close competition being from its Strix Point sibling.
