AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 Benchmarks: The Fantastic Power Efficiency Of Zen 5
For raw performance the Ryzen AI 9 365 was commonly delivering similar performance to the Ryzen 7 7840U ~ Ryzen 7 7840HS but at much lower power.
The striking jump in performance-per-Watt has me very excited for the Ryzen 9000 series and EPYC Turin if these gains carry over there as well.
With faster memory and Zen 5 architectural improvements, the Ryzen AI 9 365 was much faster for Altair's OpenRadioss than the Zen 4 SoCs while still consuming much less power.
The Zen 5 SoCs are doing really well in libxsmm and now outperforming Meteor Lake.
As mentioned in the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 review, the HPC benchmarks aren't necessarily for expecting you to be running high performance computing workloads on your laptop but in being eager to test Zen 5 at large as well as being curious about Zen 5 for more edge-type devices in the future and some of their relevant workloads.
The Ryzen AI 9 365 was faster than the Meteor Lake SoC tested while at 60% the SoC power use.
