AMD Ryzen 7000/8000 Series vs. 14th Gen Intel Core CPU Performance On Linux 6.10 With 400+ Benchmarks

With the new Speedometer 3.0 web browser benchmark running under Firefox 126, all of the AMD Zen 4 processors are faster than the Intel Raptor Lake processors tested.

Similarly with Google Chrome the AMD Ryzen 7000/8000 series processors were delivering better performance than the Intel CPUs.

With the JetStream 2 browser benchmark under both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, the Intel Core i9 14900K managed to come out ahead. Here the AMD Zen 4 and Intel Raptor Lake Refresh desktop processors were much more competitive than with AMD Zen 4 leading in Speedometer 3.0.

WebAssembly benchmarks were mixed between Intel and AMD but Intel tended to be more competitive here than with some of the more basic web browser performance tests.

Moving past the web browser benchmarks though onto some more demanding workloads like code compilation... For this up-to-date Linux stack, the Ryzen 9 7950X and Core i9 14900K were neck-and-neck for delivering the best build times for compiling the Linux kernel.

And a look at the performance-per-dollar.
