AMD Ryzen 7 7700X Linux Performance

First up is a look at the Linux gaming performance of the Ryzen 7 7700X both with native Linux games as well as some Steam Play (Proton + DXVK) titles.
With not many games on Linux being too well optimized for 16+ CPU threads, the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X was competing well with the higher-end Ryzen 7000 series processors for Linux gaming performance. In some cases the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D still gave these Zen 4 desktops a run for the money, especially with the native Linux game ports by Feral Interactive.
At least for now the AMD Zen 4 processors are delivering the best performance for Linux gaming. We'll see how well Raptor Lake does for Linux gaming against Zen 4 next month.
