Continuing on with the developer-oriented benchmarks, in scripting languages like Python and PHP there is significant uplift from Zen 3 to Zen 4. In some of these single-threaded tests the Zen 4 processors were now outperforming Alder Lake while in other areas it was still a race against Intel 12th Gen Core. In the single-threaded tests obviously the Ryzen 7 7700X stands up well but for those running many concurrent scripts, etc, is where the higher-end Ryzen processors would be more advantageous.
Simdjson for JSON parsing is one of the workloads much faster now with Zen 4 processors thanks to AVX-512 usage.
