AMD Strix Point Linux Performance Comparison One Year After Launch
Across the multi-threaded workloads it was common to see the updated Linux software stack yielding slightly lower performance with reduced CPU power use but coming out ahead for power efficiency than where Strix Point started on Ubuntu Linux last year. Again with platform profile tunables and similar it's possible to adjust your power/performance preference while this was just an out-of-the-box comparison at the defaults (balanced mode) each time.
Some benchmarks were showing better performance still with the up-to-date 2025 Linux software stack on Strix Point.
A nice evolution for Strix Point in these areas where both the performance and power efficiency are better now than when Strix Point began shipping at the end of last July.
Of course, in some workloads the power and performance were flat year-over-year.
