When running the Reaction Quake 3 game, the Catalyst driver on Linux was many times faster than the open-source driver.
Meanwhile, for Smokin' Guns that is based upon Reaction Quake 3 but is less visually demanding, the performance appeared to be more CPU bottlenecked, but the Gallium3D driver was about ~75% that of Catalyst.
