Even with Ampere Altra Max at 128 cores, the NVIDIA Vera with its 88 cores was compiling code in half the time of Ampere Altra Max.

On a performance-per-core basis, NVIDIA Vera's Olympus cores were around 3.2x that of the Neoverse-N1 cores in Ampere Altra.

For any large codebase, NVIDIA Vera was taking half the time to compile software as the higher core count Ampere Altra.

7zip compression per core

For 7-Zip compression, the performance per core with NVIDIA Vera was 4x that of Ampere Altra.
