How NVIDIA Vera CPU Performance Compares To The Ampere Altra Max

Across all the tested workloads, NVIDIA Vera showed just how great the ARM Linux performance has evolved in the past five years.

Going from eight channel DDR4-3200 to LPDDR5X-9600 is down right an insane difference.

So it shouldn't be surprising at all given the age of Ampere Altra, but NVIDIA Vera showed some very impressive results over this platform that was considered leading for ARM Linux servers just a few years ago. And with Ampere Altra still available in the marketplace and popular with DIY builds, it's interesting to quantify the difference. Plus with Ampere Altra being based on the Arm Neoverse-N1 core and the N1 being found in many different SoCs further adds to the curiosity against Vera.
