The CPU improvements plus greater memory bandwidth were particularly beneficial in the HPC workloads.
The CPU power use was greater with AmpereOne, but in these demanding workloads at the same core count is still delivered better performance-per-Watt.
👁 Pennant benchmark with settings of Test: sedovbig. AmpereOne A192-32X @ 128 Cores was the fastest.
Very solid gains for AmpereOne over Ampere Altra Max at the same core count across all of the HPC/scientific workloads.
