AWS Graviton4 Benchmarks Prove To Deliver The Best ARM Cloud Server Performance
With some crypto benchmarks via Xmrig were some of the biggest generational gains found from Graviton3 to Graviton4. Graviton3 was a little more than half the performance of the Intel Xeon R7i instance while now with Graviton4 is far faster and only behind the AMD 4th Gen EPYC instance. From Graviton3 to Graviton4 was a 2.82x improvement for the GhostRider test.
With the srsRAN software defined radio software for a 5G RAN solution, there were healthy gains here from R7g to R8g but still behind the Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC instances. This might come down due to more upstream support/optimizations for x86_64 than AArch64 with srsRAN.
With John The Ripper cryptography benchmarks, the Graviton4 was trailing the Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC instances but still snowing healthy generational gains over Graviton3.
