Overall the performance moved in the right direction with this latest Bcachefs file-system code using the DKMS modules on Ubuntu 25.10. But in some instances there was also performance regressions observed at least with the stock mount options and for this single SSD configuration.

In any event those wanting to try out this latest Bcachefs DKMS support can do so via apt.bcachefs.org. I'll keep monitoring these out-of-tree Bcachefs packages for any interesting performance changes.
