CentOS Stream 10 Showing Nice Performance Uplift In Early Benchmarks On AmpereOne
For heavy workloads there are some real nice gains with the in-development CentOS Stream 10 compared to the current CentOS Stream 9 state for RHEL9. Again though, not surprising given the newer kernel, much newer compiler, etc, but in any case nice to quantify the difference.
For those relying on CentOS Stream 9 / RHEL 9 era platforms right now, the look ahead to CentOS Stream 10 and the eventual Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 release will be nice for better leveraging modern AArch64 (and x86_64) servers.
The performance overall was moving in the right direction with CentOS Stream 10 on this AmpereOne server.
