AMD EPYC 9005 Brings Incredible Performance To The Cloud With Amazon M8a Benchmarks

For any CPU-based AI inferencing in the cloud, AWS M8a instances were much faster than M7a. These results aren't surprising given my prior 5th Gen AMD EPYC bare metal testing. With EPYC Turin is now the full 512-bit data path for AVX-512 plus the faster DDR5 memory allowing for better AI inferencing performance.

The 5th Gen AMD EPYC processors continue offering the best performance for high performance computing (HPC) workloads.
