Ubuntu 25.04 vs. Fedora Workstation 42 Performance On AMD Strix Point

For many of the C/C++ code compilation benchmarks Ubuntu 25.04 maintained a narrow lead. This isn't too surprising with Ubuntu 25.04 being on GCC 14 and Fedora Workstation 42 on GCC 15. Often times the newer compiler releases will trade slower build times for more features/diagnostics and focusing on the performance of the resulting binary as opposed to the build time. Fedora 42 though was faster at compiling the Rust-based Wasmer for WebAssembly.
It was a close race with various video encode benchmarks built from source.
