Firefox 120 To Firefox 141 Web Browser Benchmarks
The modern Speedometer 3.1 browser benchmark improved a fair amount in the past 21 Firefox releases.... Around 30% better performance since late 2023 with some nice gains several steps of the way. Since Firefox 134 though the Speedometer performance has been largely flat.
While Firefox 141 is bringing lower RAM usage for Linux, as you can see from these results that while it's much better than on Firefox 120/121, the peak memory usage is still much higher than it was during the Firefox 123 to Firefox 133 timeframe.
With Jetstream 2 as another popular modern browser benchmark, going from Firefox 120 to Firefox 141 Beta showed a 19% improvement to performance. With Jetstream 2 there were gradual performance improvements over time, including in some of the most recent Firefox releases.
The RAM usage on Firefox 141 is looking better than with prior releases.
In the case of the StyleBench browser benchmark, Firefox 140 regressed and remains that way in Firefox 141 Beta... The best CSS style performance was exhibited during the Firefox 130~134 period.
At least the RAM usage is lower with the latest Firefox 141 beta.
