👁 7-Zip Compression benchmark with settings of Test: Compression Rating. GCC 15.0.1 Git 31 Jan was the fastest.

👁 VVenC benchmark with settings of Video Input: Bosphorus 4K, Video Preset: Fast. GCC 15.0.1 Git 31 Jan was the fastest.

👁 libavif avifenc benchmark with settings of Encoder Speed: 6, Lossless. GCC 15.0.1 Git 31 Jan was the fastest.

👁 LAME MP3 Encoding benchmark with settings of WAV To MP3. GCC 15.0.1 Git 31 Jan was the fastest.

👁 libavif avifenc benchmark with settings of Encoder Speed: 10, Lossless. GCC 15.0.1 Git 31 Jan was the fastest.

👁 WebP Image Encode benchmark with settings of Encode Settings: Quality 100, Highest Compression. GCC 15.0.1 Git 31 Jan was the fastest.

There were a number of other applications with small but consistent performance improvements when built by GCC 15.

👁 SMHasher benchmark with settings of Hash: t1ha2_atonce. GCC 14.2 was the fastest.

👁 OpenSSL benchmark with settings of Algorithm: SHA256. GCC 14.2 was the fastest.

👁 Stargate Digital Audio Workstation benchmark with settings of Sample Rate: 192000, Buffer Size: 512. GCC 14.2 was the fastest.

👁 Stargate Digital Audio Workstation benchmark with settings of Sample Rate: 192000, Buffer Size: 1024. GCC 14.2 was the fastest.

👁 Llama.cpp benchmark with settings of Backend: CPU BLAS, Model: granite-3.0-3b-a800m-instruct-Q8_0, Test: Prompt Processing 1024. GCC 14.2 was the fastest.

Only in a few workloads were there any performance regressions when using GCC 15 to build the software.
