Google Cloud C4D Performance Benchmarks At The Top-End Show 39% Generational Improvement With EPYC Turin
While the top-end C4D standard VM has 6% more cores than the C3D top-end VM, in workloads like HPCG for evaluating the HPC performance there was 53% greater performance with this generational upgrade.
Across a variety of different high performance computing (HPC) benchmarks there was excellent generational uplift for those looking at 300+ vCPU VMs. Even with the 6% increase in cores at the top-end, the generational improvements from EPYC Genoa to EPYC Turin pushed the performance much further.
