Intel 200S Boost Performance Mode Benchmarks On Linux
For Counter-Strike 2 at 1080p the 200S Boost mode did bump the frame-rate average from 421 to 431 FPS... A small improvement for a game that easily runs well on modern CPUs and GPUs.
GTA 5 on Linux under Steam Play saw no change to the average frame-rate with the Intel 200S Boost mode enabled for the Core Ultra 9 285K under Ubuntu Linux.
With the HITMAN game running under Steam Play, there was just a 444 to 449 FPS jump on average while the frame times just benefited ever so slightly.
The Batman: Arkham Knight game also benefited just ever so slightly while at least the CPU power consumption costs weren't too far changed.
The DiRT Rally 2.0 performance with the 200S Boost profile was interesting in that it caused a noticeable hit to the performance. The CPU power consumption was also showing a clear and repeated difference in power use between the two modes but with the 200S Boost mode actually leading to lower power use during a majority of the benchmark run.
With the F1 22 racing game as another Steam Play title, the minimum / average / maximum frame-rates didn't see much change out of the 200S Boost mode enabled for this Core Ultra 9 285K Linux system. The frame times also barely budged.
