Arc B390 Graphics With Panther Lake Performing Great On Open-Source Intel Compute Runtime
The Core Ultra X7 358H also showed off a very large increase to the double precision compute performance with its Arc B390 graphics.
Integer compute performance also was up big time on Panther Lake as measured by clpeak on this latest Intel Compute Runtime release.
For integer 24-bit compute, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 picked up a rate win in this GPU compute comparison.
The OpenCL kernel latency is much better on Lunar Lake and Panther Lake than on prior Intel graphics or the AMD Radeon 890M graphics. The big benefit with Lunar Lake and newer is when using the Xe Linux kernel driver and being able to utilize Ultra Low Latency Scheduling (ULLS) with the Intel Compute Runtime.
The cl-mem benchmark was also reaffirming the very nice memory performance gains shown in clpeak and other benchmarks.
