Intel Core Ultra 9 285K Linux Memory DDR5 Performance Testing
Those wanting to see even more DDR5 memory benchmarks from this Intel Arrow Lake comparison can see this result file for all the data I collected over the weekend.
Long story short the DDR5-8000 DIMMs tested are working out better now on the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z890 HERO motherboard with the new 0806 BIOS. For many workloads were meaningful gains with DDR5-8000 DIMMs over the others tested. And the new Micron/Crucial DDR5-6400 CUDIMMs with their default CL52 rating aren't all that interesting unless you are trying to overclock yourself. The 2 x 32GB DDR5-6400 Corsair CMK64GX5M2B6400C32 memory kit at around $200 USD was also another nice spot for this Core Ultra 9 285K processor while costing literally just a few dollars more than the 2 x 16GB DDR5-8000 DIMMs tested if desiring a higher memory capacity while not breaking the budget. For those interested in the higher speed DDR5 CUDIMMs we should hopefully be seeing more availability around the end of the year or early in 2025.
