Intel Arc B390 Panther Lake Generational Performance Since The Gen9 Graphics Era

Going back to the Gen9 graphics there is the Intel ANV driver support for the same open-source Vulkan driver as used with Panther Lake today. It's with Haswell and Broadwell with that earliest Vulkan driver support where it was punted off to the "HasVK" driver, which is another reason I cut-off the graphics testing at Gen9. Even then GravityMark couldn't run at any reasonable frame-rate on those 14nm laptops at 1080p. In raw performance over an 11x difference from the Whiskey Lake laptop to Panther Lake.

On a performance-per-Watt basis for this demanding Vulkan benchmark was 8.6x the performance from the oldest laptop tested.

With OpenGL graphics using Unigine Superposition was 7.4x the performance from the oldest to newest Intel laptop. Panther Lake came in at 6.9x the performance-per-Watt of the Gen9 graphics on Whiskey Lake.

The Intel integrated graphics have come a very long way over the past decade and it's great to see such a significant generational uplift now with Xe3 Arc B390 on Panther Lake.
