If you are using the Intel Arc Graphics A-Series hardware for any GPU compute work, it's definitely worthwhile exploring the transition from i915 to Xe kernel drivers. Again, for those with the latest Intel Arc B-Series (Battlemage), the Xe driver is already being used.

It's very convenient as well being able to switch the i915 and Xe kernel drivers at boot time without having to rebuild your kernel if simply leveraging the i915 and Xe kernel module "force_probe" options.
