The ASKAP MPI performance does very well on AMD EPYC where even the 7601 2P performance comes out ahead of the Xeon Platinum 8280.
With SPECjbb for Java performance using the stock OpenJDK packages of Ubuntu 19.10, the Xeon Platinum 8280 performance only matches the EPYC 7642 with these dual CPU tests.
