Both of the processors saw significant gains from SMT for the OSPRay Studio rendering software while the EPYC 4345P continued to lead in overall performance and power efficiency.

With SVT-AV1 video encoding is another area where SMT/HT is very helpful for increasing system throughput.

Here the Xeon 6369P saw around 33% faster video encode performance while the EPYC 4345P went up by around 41%.

The AMD EPYC 4005 series processor was typically seeing higher uplift attributed to SMT while overall delivering better performance and power efficiency over the Intel Xeon 6300 series.

SMT was very effective on the EPYC 4345P while if your budget allows there are also 12-core and 16-core options with the EPYC 4005 series for even greater performance while the Xeon 6300 series taps out at the 8-core / 16-thread Xeon 6369P.
