For those into quantitative finance, the Xeon 6700E processors with 144 cores showed nice uplift over prior generation Intel Xeon processors and really shot forward with the power efficiency.

The Blender CPU-based rendering performance was great on the Xeon 6700E processors with significant time savings thanks to the much higher core counts than prior generation Xeon CPUs. The CPU rendering performance with the Xeon 6700E series is all the more exciting when looking at the power efficiency.

It will be interesting to see where the Xeon 6700P/6900P processors compare with their performance and power efficiency later this year.

The 250 Watt Xeon 6766E did deliver better performance-per-Watt than Genoa(X) and Bergamo for the LuxCore rendering software.
