The good news with these Linux 6.15 improvements is they weren't coming with any additional CPU power consumption.

👁 MariaDB benchmark with settings of Test: oltp_read_write, Threads: 512. Linux 6.15 was the fastest.

The MariaDB database server was enjoying slightly better performance on Linux 6.15 too.

The PostgreSQL database server was also showing off some nice gains too under Linux 6.15 on this 256-core / 512-thread AMD EPYC server setup.

The RocksDB database benchmarks were also clocking some small performance wins when run atop the Linux 6.15 kernel.
