Well, some immediate and nice gains indeed on Linux 6.17 with EXT4.

In addition to the hefty random read performance wins, Linux 6.17 was looking very good as well when it came to the 4K random write performance.

For the sequential read performance, it was steady from Linux 6.16 to 6.17 after experiencing a big boost on Linux 6.16 at least for this AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO workstation.
