Linux 6.18 LTS vs. Liquorix Kernel On AMD Ryzen Threadripper Workstation Performance
For various GPU benchmarks from the likes of Vulkan compute and Llama.cpp to OpenGL graphics, there wasn't too much of a difference observed out of Liquorix. Though part of the focus on Liquorix is on responsiveness that is harder to measure in these benchmarks.
With the Vulkan-based AI inferencing with Llama.cpp, there wasn't much of a performance difference but for CPU-based AI inferencing the upstream Linux 6.18 LTS kernel was much faster.
For those doing a lot of code compilation, there wasn't too much of a difference observed between these Linux kernel flavors.
