Linux 6.6 LTS To Linux 7.1 Bechmarks: Performance Up 13% On AMD Threadripper Over Three Years
PostgreSQL was showing off some incremental gains when running on the newer Linux kernel versions. Compared to Linux 6.6 LTS, the difference against Linux 7.1 upstream becomes rather significant with the many small kernel enhancements since 2023.
