Pop!_OS With Linux 6.8 Is Benefiting Older System76 Threadripper Systems Too
Some workloads were seeing about the same performance between the two kernel versions...

But it didn't take long before finding a variety of workloads showing measurable uplift to running this four year old System76 Thelio Major workstation with this latest stable kernel.
It was nice seeing this Linux 6.6 to 6.8 leap benefiting not only the newest System76 Thelio workstations but also older platforms benefiting too from these upstream kernel optimizations over the past several months.
Some of the improvements were small but in other cases much more measurable.
