Nouveau Maxwell: Mesa 17.0 + Linux 4.10 vs. NVIDIA's Linux Driver

With BioShock Infinite, even these best-case Nouveau numbers with the re-clocked GTX 750 GPUs and using Mesa Git with the recent performance boosts, the open-source driver is getting just under 50% the speed of those GM107 cards on the proprietary driver. The GTX 980 performance is abysmal due to the lack of re-clocking support currently with the mainline Linux kernel.
With Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the re-clocked GeForce GTX 750 series is still getting about half the performance of the proprietary driver.
And some Dota 2 with OpenGL numbers as Nouveau doesn't yet have a Vulkan driver. These Dota 2 OpenGL numbers put the GTX 750 Ti at just about one third the performance of the binary driver.
