Before getting to performance-per-dollar, here is a look at the overall system power consumption during the performance-per-Watt benchmarking process.

The AC system power consumption when the GTX 1060 was installed led to an average of 124 Watts with a peak of 184 Watts, lower than the GTX 960 with its average power draw of 127 Watts and a peak of 203 Watts. The GTX 1060 power use was only a few Watts greater than the GTX 950 and was also much lower than the Radeon RX 480.

While keeping in mind many of the graphics cards used are reference models, here's a look at the various GPU temperatures during the benchmarking process. The GTX 1060 Founder's Edition card had an average GPU core temp of 52C with a peak of 68C.
